Jazz Encounters: Allen Paul

With endless variety, a love for genre-crossing arrangements, and a spirit of connecting audiences with the moment, pianist and composer Allen C. Paul brings a feeling of joy and wonder into every performance. Allen’s captivating, high-energy performances transport audiences with elements of jazz, pop, gospel and world music into a harmonious and unpredictable whole that captivates and delights. Having performed in some of South Florida’s most prestigious venues, he works as a solo artist, accompanist, collaborator, and musical director, and has been evolving for over 25 years as a musician since his beginnings as a classical pianist at the University of Miami.

Tickets for the live in-studio performance are limited and range in price from $35 (WDNA members) to $45 (non-members). Students are invited to reserve a free ticket, bring their instruments, and join a post-concert open jam session.

The Jazz Encounters series just celebrated its 15th anniversary and is curated by well-known musician and educator Nicole Yarling. In addition to great live music, each ticket includes a pre-concert reception featuring appetizers served by The Fish House. This concert is sponsored by Miami-Dade County Division of Cultural Affairs and Musicians Discount Center.
